Hello

I'm Tommy  – physiotherapist with years of international experience across Poland, UK, and Switzerland. Currently completing my MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy alongside my clinical practice in Switzerland.

Working across different healthcare systems taught me something important: the physiotherapists who develop most effectively reflect systematically on their practice. They identify specific gaps in their clinical reasoning, and pursue targeted development that actually advances their capabilities.

I created PhysioMentor because the profession deserves better support from within. My work focuses on structured mentoring and coaching for physiotherapists who are committed to their clinical development and where their career is heading.

A Non-Linear Path

I qualified as a physiotherapist in Poland in 2001 and started in private practice. In 2005, I moved to the UK, where the path didn't unfold as planned. After working various jobs initially, I returned to massage therapy and gained qualifications as a personal trainer and Pilates instructor - work that kept me connected to movement and manual therapy while deepening my practical understanding of functional rehabilitation..

In 2015, I re-entered full-time education. I completed a BSc (Hons) in Physiology - Physical Activity and Health, followed by a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, graduating First Class Honours from Manchester Metropolitan University. After graduation, I was offered a physiotherapy position and returned to clinical practice.

Three Countries, Different Systems

Since 2023, I've been working as a physiotherapist in Switzerland. In 2025, I began pursuing an MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at ZHAW Winterthur alongside clinical practice. Working across Polish, British, and Swiss healthcare systems has shown me how different contexts shape clinical practice and career opportunities.

Each system has its strengths. Each presents different challenges for physiotherapists trying to develop their careers strategically.

That cross-system perspective is what I bring to coaching and mentoring - understanding what works where, and why.

What Drives This Work

The detours in my career weren't failures - they were lessons. Understanding what it takes to redirect, retrain, and rebuild professionally gives me practical insight into the decisions physiotherapists face when they're ready to progress but aren't sure how.

Mentorship is about inspiration and practical guidance grounded in real experience navigating different healthcare systems, career transitions, and the realities of professional development.
